Friday

I’m really not sure why I get so excited about Fridays seeing as I now work 5am-9am on Saturday mornings… But even so, I still reserve a kind of nervous excitement for Fridays. Here are some things from around the internet I enjoyed this week:

clint eastwood

Clint Eastwood with actresses Olive Sturgess and Dani Crayne in San Francisco, 1954

Plus 49 more amazing vintage photos here

This weirdly mesmerizing video of the work that goes into breaking in a pair of ballet shoes.

Have you heard Bruno Mars’ new upbeat tune?

This will make you (and your problems) seem tiny and insignificant.

A poignant argument for ditching the jeans and dressing well.

Could you live in a house like this?

Have you been watching First Contact? It’s an SBS documentary that takes 6 white Australians to Indigenous communities to challenge their (mostly hideously racist) misconceptions about Aboriginal Australians. This account from one of the 6 participants shows why the show was so worthwhile.

When TV supporting characters become more popular than the leads.

That’s all from me. Plans for the weekend?
