My new favourite tea

Well my three week sabbatical to Esperance has sadly come to an end. I’ve left the white sandy beaches for the red dirt of Kalgoorlie. Having a beach nearby just naturally gives you something to do all weekend. On Sunday I was back home with literally nothing to do. Except for reading and scrolling through social media and drinking tea (oh and we went on a random 13km walk… which killed two hours!).

Speaking of tea. I have a new favourite. I picked it up on a whim and it tastes like hot water infused with lollies.

When you pour the hot water in it immediately goes this dirty grey colour and then morphs into bright pink, which is reason enough to buy some. It also tastes great.

Be careful when making your hot drinks. Yesterday my poor housemate burnt her arm on the steam from the kettle and spent a rather painful two hours at Emergency. At least they gave her laughing gas, which definitely lives up to its name. I have about 5 videos of her giggling away on a hospital bed. Not your average Monday.

Well that’s about it from me. How are you faring?

That is a nice tea. Try the Twinings Black Currant. I’ve been drinking that since the 80’s the aroma is fantastic. My favourite is a blue Earl Gray leaf that I get here in Geelong from a Tea shop in Ryrie and I have just run out of a Black Russian Caravan leaf tea that I used to buy everytime I went to Canberra for work. Really strong a great wake up tea in the morning.

Yay another tea fiend! I haven’t tried this one yet, sounds like it’d make a nice sweet iced tea for summer, too!

Ohh and save those videos up for a special occasion 😉 But having also burnt my arm with tea steam, I can commiserate!

Someone shared a delicious sounding iced tea recipe on my facebook page! Sounds delicious. https://www.facebook.com/permalink.php?story_fbid=905116406195452&id=240485999325166&comment_id=905150496192043
