In a bid to make facebook even more like George Orwell’s 1984, Mark Zuckerberg and his cronies have now enabled a feature to remind us of what we were doing (and that they were and always will be watching) on this day a year ago. I mostly love this because it allows me to reminisce as to where I was in the world this time last year.

Amen to that! This time last year I was in London and upon hearing Empire State of Mind by Jay Z and Alicia Keys I burst into tears. I still am and always will be completely enamoured with New York City. I’ve felt this so strongly lately because I feel like everyone on facebook and in the blogosphere is in NYC at the moment and I feel left out.

I shouldn’t complain because I was there in February of this year but damn it, I want to be back right now. I’ve never loved anything, any place or anyone as much as I loved being there.

(Ps. notice how I whited-out peoples last names?! Aren’t I profesh?!)

Pps. Your status from this day last year appears on the right-hand side panel when you are looking at an album- i.e all the thumbnails, not just one photo. It can be your own album or someone else’s. I haven’t noticed if it appears anywhere else.
