Short answer: definitely.
Yesterday we spent 7.5 hours at Potato Head. Seriously. We got there at 11am, snagged the last sunbed and didn’t leave until after the sunset at 6:30pm. It was time well spent. For the past few weeks I’ve been dreaming of being there, especially after last year’s trip resulted in 24 of the most fun hours of my life.
The weather this year was far superior.
I started with a Bells and Whistles, my favourite cocktail from last year. Bizarrely, it wasn’t as good as I remember?!
We grabbed Claire’s camera with its under water casing and went for a dip.
Making a beeline, of course, for the swim up bar.
I went for a classic mojito.
Back on dry land Derlos and I had some delicious mango concoctions.
And then we had salads all round with a side of fries. Balance is important.
We got back in the water without waiting the requisite 30 minutes (or whatever we got told as kids) between eating and swimming. Dangerous.
Unsurprisingly, no one drowned or suffered cramps. Is that still a thing anyway? The not swimming after eating thing?
As the sun started to dip I went for a walk to check out the view from upstairs.
Time for some cheese:
We caught a really pretty sunset:
And then Bec and I went for pre dinner massages. Motel Mexicola was our dinner destination.
When we arrived it was absolutely pumping, but it soon died off unfortunately. We later learnt that three hens parties had been the source of most of the dancing and frivolity.
We ate a large assortment of delicious Mexican food washed down with a jug of margaritas.
I love the vintage Mexican style decor.
Seriously great day, especially for a Monday!

Have you been to Ku De Ta??? There is a small balcony above the restaurant with extra sun beds that give a great view of the sunset!
I have been, but not until after sunset! We will have to go there earlier. The espresso martinis were excellent.
Totally the best!!! Ku De Ta is awesome and so is Cocoon! Are you still there? You should add Sarong onto your list of places to eat, along with sea circus. I am dreaming of their burritos!! Xx
We are still here! Went to Cocoon last year and loved it, same with Ku De Ta. Had lunch at Sea Circus yesterday and definitely want to go back for the prawn tacos. So good. Xx
Hey there!
I discovered this website totally by accident ( I think it was sometime in 2015) and I really like the design. Bali Indonesia…. Ah such a cool place. I would definitely like to go there someday for a visit. And the pictures of the food… oh my goodness I can only imagine it must have been totally awesome! Check out my site when you get a chance it is at http://asiancelebshut.com. Have a great day and keep on writing!
